The opportunity

Holbens Service Centre / Cowaramup Tractor sales is seeking an experienced and skilled Light Vehicle Mechanic - LEADING HAND to join our close-knit team in Cowaramup, Western Australia. In this full-time role, you will have the opportunity to build and mentor a team of mechanics while also carrying out a diverse range of mechanical repairs and servicing on light vehicles.

Key responsibilities

Lead and build a team of mechanics, delegating tasks and providing guidance and support

Perform a wide range of mechanical repairs and servicing on light vehicles, including diagnostics, maintenance and repair of engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension and electrical systems

Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, meeting customer expectations and industry best practices

Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used

Contribute to the continuous improvement of workshop processes and procedures

Provide exceptional customer service, and liaise with clients to understand their needs and concerns

What we're looking for

Formal qualifications in Automotive Mechanics, with a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Light Vehicle Mechanic

Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage and mentor a team of mechanics

Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills, with a thorough understanding of automotive systems and technologies

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work

Good communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients

A valid driver's licence and your own tools
