We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Technician (light Vehicle Mechanic) to join our team, this full-time position is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional who is looking to take their experience to the next level. This role is not your typical "Oil & filters only" as we are a fast-paced workshop with a wide variety of different work opportunities dependant on your skillset. Our work consists of Vehicle servicing, Mechanical repairs, 4x4 accessories & upgrades, Auto electrical, air-conditioning and diagnostics on all types of vehicles.
About the Role:
The right candidate will be someone who has a strong background in the automotive industry with 2 years post trade experience. Someone who has high-quality workmanship with a great work ethic, honest & reliable. You will be required to work a apart of a team environment as well as working closely with the service manager and provided support day to day. What you'll be doing
Perform scheduled vehicle servicing on a wide range of vehicles
Perform Mechanical Maintenance & repairs including: Brake repairs, Timing belts, clutch replacements & Suspension upgrades
Perform tyre changes and wheel alignments (Experience not essential)
Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical issues
Use advanced diagnostic equipment and tools to identify and resolve issues correctly
Strong diagnostic knowledge, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used (Fully digital workshop / job cards)
Adhere to all relevant safety and quality standards
Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and tools
Requirements:
Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
Motor vehicle repairers certificate
Minimum 2 years of experience as Light Vehicle Mechanic
A Valid C class drivers license
Current National Police Clearance
Own tools
Commitment to maintaining a safe and organised work environment
Must be confident and experienced
Must be well presented
Must have excellent time management
Must have High attention to detail
Employment Offer:
Above awards rates of pay based on experience & performance
Daily overtime paid
Monthly bonus system
Option to advance to leading hand / head mechanic (not essential)
Up skilling & training provided
Good working hours Monday- Friday
Overtime optional but not essential
Family friendly team environment
Start date is ASAP
