Remuneration: Salary package up to $400k
To be considered you must have:
FRANZCOG (Fellowship of RANZCOG) OR Specialist International Medical Graduate (SIMG) Pathway assessed as Substantially Comparable or Candidates who are eligible via Expedited Pathway hold the following specialist qualifications.
- United Kingdom – MRCOG + CCT
- Ireland – MRCPI + Certificate of Satisfactory Completion of Specialist Training (CSCST)

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Specialist or Visiting Medical Officer in Obstetrics and Gynaecology to join the dynamic maternity team in a Rural Referral Hospital.
AIRPORT with daily flights to Brisbane/Sydney
You’ll play a vital role in supporting a Level 4 Maternity Service that places women and their families at the heart of care—where decisions are made through relationships built on mutual respect and trust.
- Provide comprehensive specialist obstetric and gynaecological services across inpatient, outpatient, birthing, and antenatal settings.
- Collaborate closely with an experienced team of midwives, GP obstetricians, and fellow specialist obstetricians.
- Support a 24/7 birthing service with 3 birthing suites, delivering safe and holistic care.

About the Role
- Provide specialist Obstetrics & Gynaecology services across inpatient, outpatient, emergency, telehealth and on-call settings.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including experienced midwives, GP obstetricians, and other specialists.
- Contribute to clinical governance, education, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Support and supervise junior doctors and medical students.
Eligibility Criteria
- MBBS or equivalent, registrable with AHPRA.
- Fellowship of RANZCOG or equivalent; SIMGs expecting Fellowship may be considered.
- Demonstrated experience in both Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork capabilities.
- Commitment to ongoing CPD, clinical supervision, and patient-centred care.
