Lead Stainless TIG Welder / Fabricator

Bracton is a leading manufacturer and importer of beverage dispense equipment at Brookvale. We are seeking a skilled TIG welder and fabricator to join our growing team at Brookvale in manufacturing beer dispense towers.

Who should apply?
This role is ideal for someone who has advanced experience in decorative TIG welding of stainless steel i.e. balustrade fabricator or similar work on thin wall stainless.

Who has strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fabrication and engineering team of three experienced welders/fabricators supported by two engineers. In this role you will be co-operating with our Production team including; CNC, welding, fabrication and assembly teams.

Is comfortable reading and interpreting CAD drawings and working out the most effective and efficient method of production utilising their experience and skills.

Has leadership skills suitable to leading a team of 3 fabricators (inclusive) and coordinating training & teamwork to ensure that all staff are adequately supported and working efficiently.

The position is full time with 6 months probation.

Required skills
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, experience in TIG welding and fabricating, keen focus on quality, be able to safely use power tools, saws, welding equipment, lift up to 20Kg and self-motivated.

The site comprises three factories which house approximately 28 staff, so someone who is well presented and has the ability to communicate effectively is preferred as you will have direct liaison with company management, personnel and external suppliers.

Package

Pay rate is between $80,000-95,000 p.a (salary) depending on skill set, and will be reviewed annually
