About the role

Faraday Valley Pty Ltd is seeking a widely experienced Senior Farmhand to join our team in Undera, Victoria. In this "hands-on" position you will play a key role to actively support the Farm Manager in the day-to-day operations of our farm. What you'll be doing

Performing a wide range of farm duties, including planting, harvesting, and maintaining crops

Operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment with a high level of care and safety

Assisting with the care and management of livestock, including feeding, monitoring, and treating animals

Collaborating with the Farm Manager to ensure efficient and effective farm operations

Proactively identifying and addressing any issues or challenges on the farm

Adhering to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and policies

Providing on-the-job training and mentorship to other staff as needed

What we're looking for

Minimum 5 years' experience as a farmhand or in a similar agricultural role

Strong knowledge of farm operations, including crop cultivation, livestock management, and machinery maintenance

Proficient in the use of farm equipment and machinery, with a demonstrated ability to operate them safely and effectively

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve issues on the farm

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Commitment to maintaining high standards of health, safety, and environmental practices

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and handle physically demanding tasks
