Your new role
As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of civil infrastructure projects, with a strong emphasis on road construction, rehabilitation, and associated works. You'll be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of civil infrastructure projects, including roads, drainage, footpaths, and streetscapes.
- Prepare and review design documentation, tender specifications, and consultant deliverables.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, contractors, consultants, and the community to ensure smooth project execution and minimal disruption.
- Provide technical advice and contribute to policy development and continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll need to succeed
You are a proactive and results-oriented engineering professional with a passion for delivering infrastructure that makes a real difference. You thrive in a collaborative, community-focused environment and bring a strong mix of technical and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in project management and contract administration, ideally within local government or a similar setting.
- Familiarity with relevant legislation, including OH&S, environmental, and procurement regulations.
- Strong knowledge of road construction methods, standards, and materials.
