Coex Capital is a new to market specialist prime equipment financier who offers a single product (chattel mortgage) with distribution exclusive to accredited commercial finance brokers. Our core borrowers are SMEs in the engineering & construction, mining services, manufacturing, transport and logistics sectors seeking finance for high quality, revenue generating assets.

The Role

As our Finance Analyst, you’ll play a pivotal role in building Coex Capital’s finance capability from the ground up. You’ll drive reporting, forecasting, and data insights across the business – helping translate numbers into action.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting Automation & Development: Migrate and improve current Excel-based reporting processes into scalable, automated Power BI solutions.

Management & Board Reporting: Develop and maintain timely, accurate, and insightful financial reports and dashboards through Power BI to support executive and board-level decision-making.

Forecasting & Budgeting: Key support to the CFO in the ownership and enhancement of the company’s financial forecasting and budgeting models, supporting strategic planning and scenario analysis.

Data & Performance Analysis: Analyse portfolio performance, loan originations, profitability drivers, customer pricing, and funding costs to inform business strategy and margin management.

Cash Flow & Capital Reporting: Monitor and forecast business cash flow and support reporting related to capital base funding structures and swap positions.

Month-End & Audit Support: Own key month-end processes and assist with year-end financial reporting, compliance, and external audits.

Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with data owners across platforms (e.g. Salesforce, AMAL) to propose and develop consolidated data analytics. Maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders including debt advisors, trust managers and funders.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance reporting accuracy, workflow efficiency, and data integrity while contributing to the buildout of a scalable, high-performing finance function.

About You:

Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline

2+ years post qualification experience

Strong background in financial reporting and modelling

Power BI and advanced Excel proficiency with large data sets are essential

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Familiarity with Salesforce is advantageous but not essential

Curious, analytical, and solution oriented

Excellent communicator with high attention to detail

Comfortable in a fast-paced, scaling-up environment

Financial services experience preferred (but not essential)
