About This Opportunity
Join a dynamic and collaborative team dedicated to shaping the future of medical education. We are seeking an experienced and motivated professional to lead the coordination of clinical teaching activities, placements, and assessments for the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program within the Central Learning Community. Based primarily at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, with some time spent at Greenslopes Private Hospital, you will play a vital role in supporting the Heads of the Clinical Unit to ensure smooth and effective delivery of clinical education.
As Team Leader, you will oversee a committed student coordination team and manage a range of operational functions that contribute to the seamless experience of medical students during their clinical training. You'll also collaborate with senior administration officers and team leaders across the Greater Brisbane Clinical School, working together to foster a supportive, client-focused environment built on excellence and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Leadership and Operational Oversight: Support the Heads of Clinical Units in delivering teaching and assessment activities for the MD program by implementing operational plans and contributing to budget planning and financial oversight. Lead and coordinate projects, while ensuring efficient administrative processes across both sites.
- Team Leadership and Development: Supervise and guide Student Coordinators to uphold high performance standards and a culture of continuous improvement. Promote collaboration, drive professional development initiatives, and foster strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Teaching and Assessment Coordination: Oversee the scheduling, coordination, and implementation of clinical teaching activities and assessments, including OSCEs. Support engagement of clinical teachers and maintain an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students.
- Student Experience and Facilities Management: Manage student placements, orientation, and engagement activities, ensuring appropriate support services and facilities are available. Act as a point of contact for minor works, facilities upgrades, and space utilisation to enhance operational effectiveness.

About You
- A degree in a relevant area with at least four years' relevant experience; or extensive relevant experience and management expertise; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
- Relevant work experience in an operations role, preferably within a tertiary education environment or healthcare setting.
- Demonstrated capability to supervise administration functions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and an ability to be adaptive and innovative in developing and pursuing solutions.
- Ability to use judgment, act independently and take initiative with minimal direction, yet work effectively as part of a management team.
- An ability to foster effective working relationships, with a broad range of stakeholders internal and external to the University, to achieve common goals.
