About the Role
As Learning Hub Advisor at TAFE Gippsland, you will play a vital role in fostering a welcoming, friendly and supportive environment for students. You will be first point of contact for learners engaging with the Learning Hub, providing tailored study, digital and wellbeing support to meet their diverse needs. Your proactive, student-centred approach will ensure that students are empowered to access services and succeed in their learning journey.
Day-to-day, you will assist students in developing digital literacy, navigating key platforms like Moodle, Office 365 and MS Teams, and delivering impactful academic kills workshops. You will also contribute to the creation and delivery of high-quality learning resources, facilitate individual and group learning sessions, and support students in understanding study requirements and managing workloads.
This role is ideal for a driven individual who thrives in collaborative, dynamic, and education-focused environment.
About You
You are passionate about education and take pride in making a difference in the lives of students. With at least two years of relevant experience in community engagement, education support, library services or digital literacy development, you bring both empathy and initiative to supporting students.
You are confident in your digital capabilities including stay up to date with emerging technologies including AI platforms and enjoy helping others become more independent and capable in online learning environments. Your excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, allow you to engage effectively with individuals from all backgrounds, including those with complex or varied support needs.
You enjoy working independently, but also value collaboration and are ready to work part of a multidisciplinary team. With a calm and coaching approach, you are adaptable and prepared to respond to the evolving needs of students through drop-in support, group sessions and ongoing engagement strategies.
Your Experience and Qualifications
A relevant qualification in Education, Library Services, Community Development, Technology, or a related field.
2+ years’ experience supporting learners or community engagement, ideally in an educational setting.
Knowledge and experience with learning platforms and digital tools.
A valid Working with Children Check
Current National Police Check (less than 12 months old).
A current Driver’s Licence
