About the role
The Children’s Resource Coordinator role will support the Families & Children’s Specialist Service Manager by increasing access to networks and resources, enhancing the knowledge and skills of workers, and providing secondary consultation to staff. A unique position for someone who is innovative, creative, confident and knowledgeable about child development and the impacts of family violence and homelessness. This role provides opportunity for advocacy, upskilling the sector and making systemic impact.
Skills and experience
A tertiary qualification such as Social Work or Community Development and relevant experience to this role.
Experience in developing the skills and knowledge of others.
Experience with and/or the knowledge of the needs of children within the homelessness and/or family violence service system.
Knowledge and ability to work from a community development framework where the child is the primary focus.
Strong research skills with the ability to critically analyse and clearly present research information.
Experience in the development and delivery of presentations to groups would be beneficial but not essential.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to proficiently build working relationships network and liaise with internal and external parties, at a state wide and local level level.
