About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join BA Pumps & Sprayers as an Assembler - Leading Hand. As a key member of the production team, you will be responsible for leading a small team of assemblers and ensuring the efficient and high-quality assembly of products at our Geelong, Victoria facility. This full-time role offers excellent opportunities for career development in a dynamic and growing manufacturing environment.

What you'll be doing

Oversee and coordinate the activities of a team of assembly workers to ensure production targets are met

Provide hands-on assistance and guidance to team members to maintain high standards of workmanship

Monitor and inspect the quality of assembled products to identify and resolve any issues

Liaise with the Production manager to communicate progress and address any challenges

Train and develop team members to improve their skills and productivity

Maintain detailed records of production activities and team performance

Ensure a safe and organised work environment by adhering to all health and safety protocols

What we're looking for

Several years of experience in a similar assembly or manufacturing role, preferably in a leading hand or supervisory capacity

Strong technical skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality workmanship. A mechanical background is highly desirable

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and motivate a team

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve production issues

Familiarity with manufacturing processes, quality control, and workplace health and safety practices

Commitment to continuous improvement and a collaborative mindset
