About the role
The position is responsible for delivering the curriculum material provided for the class by the Teacher that they are relieving, and to provide a duty of care to students in the absence of their regular Teacher. This responsibility is to be fulfilled in a manner which is consistent with the mission, vision, values and expectations of the College.
About the contract
The position is casual.
About you
To be considered for this role you will need:
· Valid working rights within Australia
· Be committed to the goals, ethos and mission of the College as a Catholic school in the Edmund Rice Tradition.
· Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
· Relevant qualifications in Education.
· Proven experience working in an educational setting with an understanding of the ethos of Catholic Education.
· Sound knowledge of school operations and relevant policies and procedures.
· Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication and conflict resolution skills when dealing with multiple stakeholders, including students, staff, parents and the wider college community.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and use initiative and self direction where required.
· Excellent organisational, administrative and time management skills.
· Intermediate computer skills and the ability to use Microsoft office products as well as school database management systems.
