About the role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accounts Officer to join our team at Achor Group in Padstow NSW 2211. This is a full-time position that will involve a range of accounting and administrative duties to support the smooth running of our finance operations.
What you'll be doing
Record all financial transactions accurately.
Enter invoices into the financial software system.
Respond to email inquiries promptly.
Generate client invoices as required.
Reconcile bank statements regularly.
Verify supplier invoices for correct information, including due dates, products, and prices. Escalate discrepancies to the appropriate stakeholder.
Execute supplier bill payments in a timely manner.
Maintain ABN and EFT records.
Organise and file all accounts payable documentation.
Communicate with suppliers and customers to ensure smooth cashflow.
Review and process credit applications.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent numerical and analytical skills
Computer literate and proficient in excel
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well in a team and independently
Quality, Safety, and Environmental Responsibilities
Ensure all financial operations comply with the company’s integrated management system manual.
Support contract administrators with financial records and transactions, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Assist project managers in implementing control measures, such as inspections and audits, to maintain high construction standards.
Manage budgets for safety training, equipment, and compliance initiatives, ensuring adequate resources are available to meet WHS requirements.
Maintain accurate financial records related to workplace health and safety expenditures.
Monitor and report on expenditures related to environmental initiatives, ensuring effective use of resources.
