Overview of Role
We are currently looking for a full time Extrusion Operator. Reporting into the to the Extrusion Supervisor, located at 6 Peterkin Street, Acacia Ridge, QLD manufacturing plant. You will be part of a group of Extrusion Operators, ensuring production outcomes that are within specification and to the customer requirements. You will be part of a team who are on a journey to out-perform and delight our customers through manufacturing excellence and innovation.
Day Shift – Monday – Friday 6am-2pm
The Extrusion Operator will be responsible for:
Keeping safety as a number one priority on a daily basis
Operating extruders
Follow production orders and work instructions
Ensuring all raw materials, quality control checks, finished goods, and scrap is accurately documented and organised
Participating in work team trouble shooting.
To be successful in this role you will ideally have or be:
Good communications skills, particularly at shift changeover
Sound mechanical knowledge to learn to operate a machine.
Some lifting/ pulling/ pushing required: Ability to bend and stretch when cleaning driven and idle rollers.
Demonstrated organisational and team building skills
Numerical, computer and reasoning skills
A desire to know how to operate all extrusion lines
An excellent attendance and safety record
