Future Focus are an organisation that specialises in youth and disability support services across the Mackay region. These services include: supporting young people in residential care, youth outreach and family intervention supports. At Future Focus, we pride ourselves on providing a person-centered and trauma informed approach to everyone we support.

Future Focus provides support to young people of varying ages whose families have been and/or are currently engaged with Queensland Child Safety.

Training is provided to all staff during their journey at Future Focus with opportunities to complete diploma level qualifications, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training and a comprehensive staff induction with additional paid training opportunities. Staff Requirements:

All staff at Future Focus must have or be willing to:

Undertake a variety of shifts including split shifts if required.

Use own vehicle if required and ensure car is adequately insured.

Hold an Open Driver’s Licence.

Complete a National Criminal History Check.

Hold or be willing to obtain a Working with Children’s Check - Paid (Blue card).

Hold or be willing to obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow card).

Hold or be willing to obtain First Aid and CPR certification.

Have completed or be willing to work towards a relevant qualification within community services.

Have completed or willing to complete Hope and Healing training and additional mandatory training upon request.
