We are looking for a passionate and experienced Part-Time Residential Team Leader to join our team in the Wollongong region, managing two Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes and working across both the office and the floor.

About the Role

In this part-time leadership role, you will be responsible for managing two SIL homes, supporting participants with complex needs, including:

Autism Spectrum Disorder

Drug and alcohol-related behaviours

Spinal injuries (including bowel and stoma care)

You will work both on the floor alongside your team and in the Wollongong office for planning, team meetings, and administration. This role offers a meaningful mix of direct participant support and operational leadership.

You will also be part of a rotating on-call schedule and receive paid on-call allowances during your rostered weeks.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day operations including rostering of two SIL homes, ensuring quality care and NDIS compliance

Support participant needs and maintain strong relationships with families, stakeholders, and allied health teams

Lead, supervise, and mentor Support Workers

Assist with coordinating rosters and reviewing timesheets

Complete accurate documentation and contribute to internal audits

Promote a positive, inclusive, and empowering team and home environment

Attend planning sessions and team meetings at the Wollongong office

Participate in the after-hours on-call roster and receive on-call allowance

About You

Demonstrated experience in Disability, Community, or Aged Care sectors

Experience supporting individuals with Autism and/or Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) is highly desirable

AINs and Registered Nurses are strongly encouraged to apply

Management or team leadership experience is highly desirable

Confident supporting complex and high-risk participants, including behaviours linked to drug and alcohol use

Knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards, incident management, restrictive practices, and active support models

Strong interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills

Cert IV or higher in Disability, Community Services, Individual Support or a related field

Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Police Check, WWCC (NSW), First Aid & CPR

Full Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle
