An exciting opportunity has opened for the position of OSHC Director LEVEL 6.1 at Noarlunga Downs Primary School.

This permanent part time position is for 25 hours per week, with a probation period. The Director is required to be available to work before school care 6:30-8:30am, after school care 3:00-6:00pm, and pupil free days 6:30am - 6:00pm.

As the OSHC Director, you will play a pivotal role in leading our Outside School Hours Care program, ensuring sound leadership, operational and financial management skills, ability to establish collaborative and mutually respectful relationships with students, staff, parents and members of the wider community, ensure the safety, wellbeing, and development of children in before- and after-school and vacation care.

The director is accountable to Noarlunga Downs Primary School and its Governing Council for the overall operation, management, and administration of the OSHC service, ensuring that:

the service meets requirements of the National Quality Framework (NQF) under the Education and Care Services National Law and the Education and Care Services National Regulations

all relevant legal and statutory requirements are monitored, complied with and implemented

the philosophy, policies and procedures of the service are upheld, implemented and reviewed regularly to meet relevant requirements

pedagogical leadership is provided to ensure quality care, recreation and leisure programs for children, and direction, support and continuous learning for staff

a vibrant, interesting, varied and appropriate children’s program is developed and implemented to meet the needs of all children and families of the OSHC community.

Desirable knowledge and experience:

Sound leadership, operational and financial management skills

Sound knowledge of administrative documentation and planning functions of an OSHC service

Knowledge of the NQF, EYLF and MTOP

Knowledge of the CCS, CCMS and Children Services Award

Knowledge of the responsibilities of the employer and employee under the work, health and safety legislation

Knowledge of the employer responsibilities under relevant awards/agreements and the National Employment Standards

Knowledge of relevant state and Australian government legal compliance requirements relating to education and care services

Knowledge of and commitment to, the principles of equal opportunity

Knowledge of child protection responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:
Diploma or Degree level qualification as approved by ACECQA
First Aid qualifications as approved by ACECQA
Responding to Abuse and Neglect training
Criminal History Screening
