The Role

Provide proactive support to the Financial Controller towards delivery of timely and accurate financial records. Permanent part time position 3 days (22.5 hours) per week. Develop and grow in a friendly work environment at our modern office located in St Leonards, close to train and metro stations.

Key Responsibilities

Reconciliations of bank accounts to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.

Prepare and enter journals for all payments.

Support with the preparation of primary statements (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash flow).

Payroll processing through Employment Hero.

Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions.

Active involvement in interim and final audit.

About you

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications, skills, and attributes:

Degree qualified, major in accounting.

Previous 5 + years’ experience in a management accounting role.

Excellent communicator who can collaborate with different stakeholders.

Demonstrated time management skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to add valuable insight from data.

Organised and able to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Advanced Microsoft excel skills and experience of working with accounting software (ideally Xero)
