Position Summary
As a Manufacturing Technician – UAV Maintenance & Solution Manufacturing, you’ll play a critical role in assembling, maintaining, and supporting the production of our UAV platforms and integrated solutions. You will work closely with engineering, production, and field operations teams to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our UAV systems throughout their lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
UAV Assembly & Integration:
Assemble UAV systems and subcomponents according to technical drawings, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.
Preventive & Corrective Maintenance:
Conduct diagnostic tests and repair work on UAVs, including propulsion systems, avionics, airframes, and payloads.
Quality Control & Documentation:
Perform inspections, verify tolerances, and document work performed to ensure compliance with quality standards.
System Calibration & Testing:
Calibrate sensors, check software updates, and perform ground and flight-readiness checks to validate system functionality.
Collaboration & Communication:
Interface with engineering and R&D teams to provide feedback on design-for-manufacturability (DFM) and support prototyping efforts.
Inventory & Tooling Management:
Maintain organized inventory of parts, tools, and test equipment, and track usage through ERP or inventory systems.
Safety & Compliance:
Adhere to safety procedures, including ESD precautions and UAS regulations as applicable.
Qualifications
Required:
High school Certificate.
Technical certification or associate degree in aerospace, electronics, or manufacturing technology preferred.
2+ years of hands-on experience in UAV assembly, drone maintenance, or precision electronics manufacturing.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Proficiency with hand tools, soldering, and basic diagnostic equipment (e.g., multimeters).
Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills.
Preferred:
Experience with flight control systems.
Familiarity with 3D printing, composite materials, or CNC operations.
Experience in UAV operations.
Experience in a lean manufacturing or ISO 9001 environment.
