Australian owned leader in the Construction Industry is seeking a customer focused individual to join their Hardware team in Smithfield.

You will be responsible for assisting customers with product selection, processing orders, maintaining product knowledge, and supporting overall store operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who has had exposure to the hardware/construction supplies industry and is looking to develop their Sales career.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Greet and assist customers at the sales counter in a professional and courteous manner
• Provide product knowledge and technical support
• Generate sales quotes, orders, process payments, and manage inventory transactions using the computer system.
• Handle phone inquiries and assist with quotes, pricing, and order follow-ups.
• Maintain a clean, organized counter desk and showroom area.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Stay updated on new products and industry trends.
• Resolve customer issues efficiently and escalate as needed.
• Support field sales representative team with customer information and product availability.

To be considered for role you will need to possess the following:

• 1+ year of sales or customer service experience, preferably in hardware, fencing, or construction supply.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math and computer skills; experience with point-of-sale or inventory systems a plus.
• Ability to work in a hands-on environment.
