About the role

Two Slices Sandwich Bar is seeking an experienced Head Barista to join our team in our Scarborough. This is a casual position where you will be responsible for leading our barista team and ensuring exceptional customer service and coffee quality.

What you'll be doing

Overseeing the daily operations of the coffee bar, including training and supervising barista staff

Preparing and serving a wide variety of coffee and specialty coffee beverages to the highest standards

Ensuring the coffee bar is well-stocked and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation

Providing excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all customers

Monitoring and adjusting coffee and espresso machine settings to maintain optimal performance

Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing new initiatives

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years of experience as a barista, with demonstrated expertise in coffee preparation and customer service

Thorough knowledge of coffee bean varieties, roasting profiles, and brewing methods

Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and train barista staff

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and customer-focused approach

Keen attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
