As part of ongoing growth, they are seeking a dedicated Accounts Receivable Officer to join their finance team.
Position Summary
The Accounts Receivable Officer will be responsible for managing the end-to-end accounts receivable process, ensuring the timely collection of outstanding invoices and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, professional services environment.
Key Responsibilities
Generate, issue, and follow up on client invoices in accordance with company policies and billing cycles.
Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts and proactively follow up on overdue payments.
Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
Liaise with internal stakeholders (e.g., Partners, Consultants, and Practice Managers) to ensure accuracy of billing and client accounts.
Process and allocate incoming payments accurately in the accounting system.
Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of accounts receivable transactions.
Prepare and distribute regular debtor reports and aged receivables analysis to senior management.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and client service.
Adhere to compliance and audit requirements relevant to accounts receivable activities.
Skills and Experience Required
Proven experience in a similar Accounts Receivable or Credit Control role, preferably within a professional services environment.
Strong knowledge of accounts receivable principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is advantageous.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and courteous manner.
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
Proactive problem-solving skills and a client-centric approach.
