How you’ll make an impact

In this dynamic and impactful role, you’ll be at the heart of supporting our vibrant community of 7,000+ monthly workers, called Sidekicks, and our HQ team. Reporting directly to the Head of Marketplace & Operations, you’ll play a pivotal part in shaping the experience and success of our diverse workforce.

Your mission?

To champion workplace safety and wellbeing for our Sidekicks, ensuring they operate in environments where they can thrive, feel protected, and are supported at every step. You'll be instrumental in developing and implementing comprehensive WH&S initiatives that not only meet compliance requirements but cultivate a safety-first culture across Sidekicker. What you’ll do

Educate Sidekicks about their safety responsibilities when working with clients

Manage the return-to-work process, supporting timely and effective recovery to get our Sidekicks back to work as soon as possible

Liaise with medical providers, WorkSafe and insurers on injury management

Implement, and maintain WH&S policies, procedures and training programs

Develop and deliver engaging safety training and awareness initiatives

Oversee safety audits to identify hazards at client sites and recommend controls

Partner with clients to integrate safety practices into their operations where required

Ensure compliance with all relevant WH&S regulations and standards

Advise management on WH&S compliance and best practices

Maintain accurate safety documentation and records in relevant injury management systems

Analyse safety data to identify trends and provide recommendations that will drive continuous improvement

Identify and mitigate potential related WH&S safety risks associated with the Sidekicker platform

Assist with workplace health and safety projects as prioritised by management

About You

Critical Competencies

WH&S Knowledge: Deep understanding of relevant health and safety legislation, regulations and standards.

Analytical: Expertise in collecting, analysing and interpreting safety metrics to drive improvements.

Stakeholder Communication: Clear, empathetic, and transparent communication with both internal teams and external clients on safety, compliance, and performance.

Experience & Qualifications

Certificate IV in WH&S or Diploma in Work Health and Safety or related field

Return to Work Coordinator certification

3-5 years of experience in workplace health and safety roles, ideally with experience in the contingent labour market

Experience managing workers' compensation claims and return to work process

Proven track record implementing safety programs and ensuring regulatory compliance with demonstrated results

Skilled at cross-functional collaboration to embed safety practices consistently across the organisation
