We are representing a leading civil construction business with over four decades of success in Greater Western Sydney. Known for their diverse project portfolio and robust growth across various sectors, we're seeking a dedicated HSEQ Coordinator/Advisor to join our team.
About the Role:
- Directly report to the HSEQ Manager, ensuring seamless communication and support
- Conduct comprehensive safety, quality, and environmental inspections across project sites, HQ, and affiliated divisions
- Champion compliance with regulatory standards and contractual obligations
- Collaborate closely with teams across civil and commercial sectors to enhance safety practices
- Assist in shaping and maintaining our robust Safety Management System
- Act as a key liaison on all matters related to workplace health and safety
- Drive the implementation of health and safety plans, fostering a culture of safety excellence
- Stay ahead of legislative changes, continuously refining policies and procedures
- Ensure organizational adherence to established policies and procedures
- Provide expert WHSEQ guidance to senior management and staff
- Play a pivotal role in assurance and audit functions
- Develop, review, and monitor the HSEQ Plan, aligning objectives with corporate goals
- Lead by example, promoting best practices and inspiring a proactive safety mindset
- Collaborate closely with clients to address WHSEQ requirements effectively
- Spearhead impactful OH&S improvement initiatives aligned with our safety strategy
- Manage meticulous document control for tenders, submissions, and ongoing projects
- Identify risks proactively and implement robust mitigation strategies
- Coordinate comprehensive WHSEQ training programs to uphold industry standards
About You:
- Hold a minimum Cert. IV in Workplace Safety, showcasing your commitment to professional development
- Bring a proven track record in HSEQ roles, ideally within the building and construction sector (minimum 5 years)
- Demonstrate unwavering dedication to health and safety practices
- Excel in both written and verbal communication, essential for effective collaboration
- Thrive in a fast-paced office environment while maintaining exceptional autonomy
- Navigate general office operations with ease, ensuring seamless administrative support
- Forge strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, embodying professionalism and discretion
- Contribute actively as a team player with a proactive, solution-oriented approach
- Applicants must have full Australian working rights at the time of application
- Possess a current driver's license and hold a National Construction General Induction Card (All States Accepted)
