Senior Civil Engineer

• $120,000-$130,000 + Superannuation

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Civil Engineer to assume a dual role that combines technical leadership with office management. Reporting to the State Manager, you will lead a variety of civil engineering projects, support business development, and mentor junior team members.

Senior Civil Engineer Duties

• Take charge of delivering a broad range of civil engineering projects.
• Act as a primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and internal team members.
• Coordinate work plans and resource scheduling to meet key project deadlines, supporting Engineers and Technical Officers in the process.
• Provide high-level technical input and oversight on civil engineering designs, with support from the wider leadership team.
• Engineering design using software tools such as AutoCAD, 12d, DRAINS, and AutoTurn.
• Oversee project execution from inception to handover, managing quality, timelines, and client expectations.
• Participate in construction phase services including site inspections and contract administration duties.
• Contribute to tender submissions and business development initiatives alongside the State Manager.
• Guide and support junior Engineers and Drafting staff, fostering a culture of professional growth and knowledge sharing.

Senior Civil Engineer Qualifications/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years of civil engineering experience within the Australian market.
• Proven record of delivering successful civil engineering projects locally.
• Familiarity with Australian Standards, Austroads, and local authority requirements.
• Strong technical software skills in Civil Engineering platforms (AutoCAD, 12d, DRAINS, etc.).
