The Goonellabah Tavern is seeking Experienced Qualified Chefs.

We have a vacancy with potential for a full time position for the right candidate who can provide the right skill set and a genuine ongoing commitment to the role.

We are looking for an experienced trade qualified chef available for an immediate start to join our busy team.

The successful candidate will be reliable, with a hard working attitude have a passion for food, service excellence and efficiency.

They will demonstrate

• a happy, positive, can-do attitude
• Experience working in a busy hands on restaurant/bistro or similar styled venue
• Uncompromising attitude towards high food quality, presentation & safety
• Excellent Planning skills & the ability to think on your feet

Job tasks and responsibilities

Work effectively with Head Chef & other Chefs

Prepare ingredients for dishes upon the instructions of Chefs

Assist in operating commercial cooking equipment such as stoves, cookers, ovens & fryers

Make sure food supplies are stored properly and used resourcefully

Help Chefs in cooking activities by providing input & managing work load

Handle portion control requirements & presentation standards

Make sure kitchen is clean and organized at all times

Availability for a range of shifts covering days, nights, public holiday, weekend and split shifts is a must.
