Your Role and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Leading Hand, you’ll be responsible for performing a variety of hydraulic and mechanical fitting tasks on Komatsu and Joy Mining equipment. This includes the assembly, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hydraulic systems and components.
You’ll be interpreting hydraulic schematics to build and diagnose circuits, routing and fitting hydraulic hoses, and carrying out general fitting work to ensure equipment is operating to specification. Your day-to-day will involve hands-on work with hydraulic systems, identifying faults, Inspection and Quoting of components/equipment and implementing effective solutions to minimise downtime.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a solid understanding of hydraulic principles, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. You’ll be joining a supportive environment that values initiative, safety, and continuous improvement.

What do I need to qualify?
To be successful in this role, you’ll need a relevant Mechanical Trade qualification and a Certificate of Proficiency. You should be confident reading and interpreting technical drawings and hydraulic schematics, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety in every task.
You’ll also bring:
A proactive and accurate approach to mechanical work
Basic computer literacy to support reporting and documentation
Additional tickets such as Dogging, EWP, and Forklift are highly regarded
