About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced SEWB (Social & Emotional Wellbeing) Coordinator to lead and support our SEWB team under the direction of the SEWB Manager. This role is central to the delivery of culturally appropriate mental health and wellbeing services, supporting individuals, families, and communities to thrive.
As the SEWB Coordinator, you will oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of SEWB programs, provide leadership to a multidisciplinary team, and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure culturally responsive care.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage SEWB programs and services in line with community needs and funding requirements.
Provide leadership, supervision, and support to SEWB team members.
Develop and maintain strong partnerships with community, government, and non-government stakeholders.
Ensure services are delivered in a culturally safe, trauma-informed, and strengths-based manner.
Monitor program outcomes and contribute to continuous quality improvement.
Support community engagement and cultural healing initiatives.
About You
Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander (desirable).
Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Community Development, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience in coordinating SEWB or mental health programs.
Strong understanding of the social determinants of health affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and with community members.
Current Driver’s Licence, First Aid & CPR certificates, Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain) are a must.
