We are seeking an experienced and motivated Individual Tax Return Manager to lead and manage our busy individual income tax return division. This is a full-time, role based in Cairns, offering the opportunity to take ownership of a key business area in a supportive and collaborative team environment.

About the Role:
As the Individual Tax Return Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and lodgement of individual income tax returns, ensuring compliance with ATO requirements, and providing expert guidance to both clients and junior staff. You will be a crucial part of our leadership team, driving quality, efficiency, and excellent client service.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day operations of the individual tax return section

Prepare individual income tax returns

Liaise with clients to resolve queries and ensure accurate information

Keep up to date with changes in tax legislation and ATO requirements

Maintain a high standard of accuracy and compliance

What We’re Looking For:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role

Strong knowledge of Australian individual tax requirements

Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

Exceptional communication and client service skills

Proficiency in tax software (ideally Xero Tax)

Relevant qualifications in Accounting or Taxation

Registered Tax Agent (or working towards registration) desirable
