The Cornerstone is a vibrant fast paced cafe in Pakenham and we are on the look out for some hospitality superstars to join our team.

We specialise in breakfast/lunch foods, coffee & other cafe style drinks. Our passion is good products and amazing customer relations. We are looking for fun people with outgoing personalities who can easily match the energy of fellow colleagues and customers.

With our relationships within the coffee/hospitality industry, our team members have access to optional first class training and experiences including professional coffee courses/marketing seminars. We are constantly working on ways to expand our knowledge and relationships and pride ourselves on how far and skilled our team members have become.

Our hours are 6am-3pm Monday-Friday and 7am-3pm Saturday-Sunday.
Ideally you'll be available for 2-3 shifts per week across these hours. Exact days/hours can be negotiated upon starting.

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

operating an espresso machine & making espresso coffee to order

greeting/seating guests

taking orders at the table and at the POS for takeaway guests

serving food/drinks

clearing, cleaning & resetting tables

preparing & handing over orders for delivery

preparing cold drinks- milkshakes, spiders, iced drinks

cleaning- sweeping/mopping/wiping/sanitising

early shifts, opening the shop & later shifts, closing the shop

What we are looking for:

experience of at least 1 year in a cafe environment operating an expresso machine

strong communication skills- written & spoken

availability of at least 2 days (any), exact days are negotiable and will be discussed upon interview

positive attitude and pride in the work you do/create

willingness to learn new things
