Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Intermediate to Senior Accountant to join our team in Goulburn or Crookwell . The ideal candidate will have experience in public practice accounting, primarily in the tax and accounting issues facing small to medium businesses. We’re looking for someone who is ready to grab hold of the opportunity to join a fast-growing and ambitious firm, to challenge themselves and reap the rewards.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and examine financial accounts, ensuring compliance with regulations

Handle taxation work, including preparation and submission of tax returns and activity statements

Research tax questions and make use of our support network of tax lawyers and specialists, to get the best result for our clients

Provide support during audits as needed, including assistance with preparation of General-Purpose Financial Statements

Provide tailored accounting solutions to small and medium businesses using the software of their choice (primarily Xero)

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field

CPA or CA completed or commenced

Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience

Experience with accounting software (e.g. Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks)

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to see the “bigger picture”

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
