About the Position
This is not a typical leadership role, it's a transformational opportunity for a leader ready to build, lead, and refine an inclusive education model that works across Junior and Senior Schools.
Commencing in Term 3, 2025, the Head of Personalised Learning will lead key programs across Enrichment, EAL, and Learning Support. They will guide a small but growing team (4 inclusive education teachers and 4 learning support assistant), with the goal of building sustainable systems that reflect best practice in inclusive education. There is no teaching load, which will allow for full immersion into leadership, design, and delivery.
This role will be responsible for:
Strategic oversight of personalised learning programs and inclusive education across Prep to Year 12
Managing NCCD compliance, testing processes, and special provisions
Leading a school-wide tiered Response to Intervention (RTI) model
Coaching staff through effective differentiation, data use, and inclusive practice
Working directly with parents and guardians of identified students to build trust and clarity
Collaborating across enrolments, academic leadership, and the wellbeing team to track and support student progress
You’ll be the bridge between vision and delivery and someone who can speak with authority on inclusive education while being approachable, practical, and deeply respectful in their leadership. Your voice will carry weight with department heads and classroom teachers alike because it’s grounded in experience, solutions, and outcomes.
This role is ideal for a leader who:
Has strong experience in intervention planning and delivery, including testing regimes and RTI
Can build systems where there haven’t been any and bringing order, clarity, and follow-through
Values communication and warmth, while staying focused on deadlines, compliance, and data
Can guide and upskill a team with varied experience, working shoulder-to-shoulder when needed
Is excited by the idea of embedding inclusive practice in every classroom, every day
Wellbeing & Student Support Context
The school’s student services model includes:
A Wellbeing Team comprising of school Psychologists and a school Counsellor.
Heads of Wellbeing for Y7–10 and Y11–12
An Academic Manager for Y7–12
A focus on early intervention and proactive family engagement
Requirements
Registration: Must hold or be eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia
Safeguarding: Two referees required and must complete HARKE’s onboarding and safeguarding process
