Flexible start & finish working hours + annual leave 20 days + additional flex leave (up to 18 days per year)
Classification grade: Clerk Grade 11/12
Salary: $145,378- $168,130 p.a. base salary (employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading is paid in addition to the base salary.)
Work type: Full-Time – 35 hours per week, Temporary role up to 12 months – Presence in the office is required 3-4 times per week.
* Our primary place of work is the CSO Office located at 60-70 Elizabeth Street, Sydney. Please note we will be relocating to a new premises located at Parkline Place, 252 Pitt Street, Sydney in July 2026.
About the role
We are looking for a highly motivated and capable Finance professional to join our Finance team to provide strategic financial advice and analysis to business leadership to inform management decisions, to underpin effective budget formulation, forecasting and projections and to inform strategic business planning processes and the consideration of new business initiatives.
As the Senior Finance Business Partner, you will manage a team to deliver CSOs budgeting and financial reporting processes and enable CSO to achieve budget performance and compliance with policies, statutory requirements and external regulators.
You will partner with the Executive Leadership Team by providing business insight and being responsible for management accounting functions and will provide high level expert advice to the Finance Director and liaise with key stakeholders on relevant financial matters to inform decision making, mitigate risk, and enable achievement of efficiency, savings targets and strategic outcomes.

Proven ability to deliver high-quality financial advice, analysis, and reporting
Advanced skills in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling
Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and relevant legislation
Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
Demonstrated ability to influence and provide strategic advice to senior leadership
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities
Track record of driving continuous improvement and delivering customer-focused solutions
Advanced communication skills-able to present complex financial information clearly
Essential requirements:
CA/CPA qualified with current professional membership
Tertiary qualifications in Commerce or Finance or Economics and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
5+ years' experience in a commercial and/or professional services environment
