As a Diesel Mechanic at PG&S Transport, you will need hands-on experience with Cummins, Volvo, Mack, and Caterpillar engines. Key responsibilities include diagnostics, repair, preventative maintenance, engine rebuilds, transmission repairs, and more.

Experience & Qualifications:

Expertise with Cummins, Volvo, Mack, and Caterpillar engines

Strong troubleshooting skills with OEM diagnostic tools (INSITE, Volvo Tech Tool, CAT ET)

Knowledge of aftertreatment, DEF systems, emissions control

Experience with various systems (engine, transmission, electrical, brakes, cooling, hydraulics)

Ability to interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams

Familiarity with DOT and FMCSA regulations

3-5 years of diesel mechanic experience, ideally in fleet/transport

Trade certification or diploma in diesel mechanics

CDL license preferred but not required
