888 Abalone is a land based aquaculture facility based in the idyllic coastal town of Bremer Bay 500kms south east of Perth WA.

We are in search of a dedicated Processing Technician to specialize in the intricate tasks of seafood processing, particularly with IQF abalone. This role well develop and require expertise in a range of processing activities including but not limited to, grading, brine freezing and packaging while ensuring the highest standards of product quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach to managing the processing line, from overseeing the efficient operation of machinery to ensuring compliance with HACCP guidelines and food safety regulations. While the primary focus is on the technical aspects of seafood processing, the role also involves a component of team leadership, guiding and supporting staff to achieve operational excellence and maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the work environment

The applicant will be required to develop a working understanding of the approved arrangement and HACCP plan in order to implement, improve and report on the functions of these as occurring daily and long term.

No aquaculture experience is required but food processing, HACCP (or AQIS) experience is required, previous supervising experience is not necessary, however, it is desirable.

This role would suit someone who enjoys being hands on and working as part of a small team with the drive to review and improve processes.

Work hours are 7am - 3:30pm Monday to Friday with two half hour breaks throughout the day ensuring there is adequate time to enjoy the life style of Bremer Bay.

Relocation to Bremer Bay is crucial

This is a full time position with a salary between $60000 - $75000 pa dependent on training and experience.
