76 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight on Rotating Roster

$100,404- $106,619 per annum (LGIA Stream A Level 4 + Site Allowance) + Superannuation

Your new role

This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced supervisor to work with a dedicated team of Safety, Security and Maintenance staff to ensure the smooth operation of Rockhampton Airport.

You will supervise staff on a seven day roster doing a variety of tasks in and around the airport, specifically focusing on the safety and security functions. In this compliance based role, you will utilise your high level of aerodrome knowledge and experience to ensure adherence with the Rockhampton Aerodrome Manual and report and monitor any incidents that could compromise the safety of aviation operations.

It is an ongoing condition of employment for this position to meet the necessary requirements to qualify for an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) which includes Australian Citizenship and Police Background Checks (arranged by Council). Applicants must also satisfy the requirements of the Rockhampton Airport Drug and Alcohol Management Plan.

Application Criteria

Demonstrated experience in an airport or similar environment particularly detailing in coordination of day to day operations to ensure safe, secure and efficient operations of the airport.

Communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with key internal and external stakeholders.

Supervisory experience with ability to lead, mentor and motivate staff to promote a positive culture.

High level of knowledge and understanding of workplace health and safety, specifically relating to an airport environment.
