About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and client-focused Designer/Draftsperson to join our team on a casual basis (with regular working hours Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and some occasional Saturdays).

Immediate start available.

This position will commence with a 3-month trial period, with the opportunity to continue as part of our growing team.

This role blends technical drafting with customer design appointments — helping clients personalize their layouts within our set home sizes, available inclusions, and upgrade options. You will also assist customers in selecting colours, materials, and interior finishes to bring their tiny home vision to life.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct design appointments with clients to finalise layouts, upgrades, and finishes.

Draft accurate floor plans, elevations, and technical drawings in AutoCAD.

Ensure all designs comply with the National Construction Code (NCC) and manufacturing requirements.

Provide expert advice on colours, materials, and design finishes.

Collaborate with production and construction teams to deliver practical, buildable designs.

Maintain organized project documentation and templates.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience as a Draftsperson or Designer in the manufacturing or construction industry.

Strong AutoCAD skills (essential).

Solid understanding of the National Construction Code (NCC).

Eye for interior design and ability to confidently guide customers in making selections.

Friendly, professional, and customer-focused approach.

High attention to detail, organisation, and the ability to manage multiple projects.

Bonus Points For:

Experience with tiny homes, modular buildings, or residential construction.

Formal training or hands-on experience in interior design or colour consulting.
