You will manage client projects across a wide range of sectors in Adelaide, regional South Australia, and Victoria, contributing to all facets of the interior design process.
About Little Road:
Founded by Marcus Syvertsen, Director & Principal Interior Designer, Little Road is driven by a passion for elevating everyday spaces. We believe life is infinitely better when you are surrounded by what (and who) you love. Our personalised approach is deeply rooted in integrity and transparency, which are at the heart of every client interaction—ensuring each project is successful from start to finish.
With a talented and diverse team, we offer bespoke, full-service interior design and styling across residential, commercial, and hospitality sectors.
We’re looking for someone who has:
A degree in interior design, interior architecture, or a related field
At least 3 years of relevant experience in a design studio environment, including preparing project documentation (2D & 3D elevations)
Ability to develop detailed design concepts and relevant documentation
Collaboration skills to work effectively with clients, architects, builders and trades to meet project goals
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interprofessional skills
Strong proficiency in SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign), Enscape (or similar rendering software)
Familiarity with tools such as Programa, Trello, Google Drive and other project management applications
A keen eye for both interior and exterior design, with a focus on details
Expertise in material selection and specification
Confidence in conducting site visits, measuring spaces, and interpreting building plans
Knowledge of South Australian and interstate suppliers
Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, compliance requirements, and suppliers
A commitment to delivering excellent service at every stage
Capacity to manage daily tasks efficiently to meet project timelines
Strong interpersonal skills and a polished, professional presentation
A multitasker who thrives under pressure and communicates clearly with team members and clients
A passion for creating functional, innovative, and visionary designs
The ability to work both independently and as part of a fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic environment
We need someone who is:
A clear communicator: You focus on building strong connections, share ideas openly, listen actively, and are open to constructive feedback. You know that good design thrives on trust, and you always keep clients and your team informed.
Detail-oriented: You excel at staying organised, reviewing client briefs and documentation, and keeping up to date with the latest design trends, building codes, and regulations. You are meticulous with every project detail and pride yourself on being reliable and accountable.
Professionally aware: You can keep multiple projects on track and help clients make key decisions. You’re efficient with deadlines, balancing modern, contemporary design principles with practicality. Your professional relationships are valuable assets, and you actively foster them to grow in your role.
