Job Description:
We are currently seeking a fast, meticulous, and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing various aspects of the company's financial activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable/receivable, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Reconcile bank statements and accounts to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements under Australian accounting standards.
  • Conduct regular audits of financial transactions and processes to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and support cross-functional initiatives.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Support the Accounting team in ad-hoc projects and tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification preferred.
  • Proven experience in accounting or finance roles
  • Strong knowledge of Australian accounting principles and standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members at all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to upholding ethical standards.
