WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a unique individual to join our Accounting Team, who is highly skilled and detailed oriented and is able to use their accounting experience to support the Finance function across the business. The role is based in our offices at the Rocks, Sydney.
You will be a CPA with at least 10 years' experience working in a complex commercial organisation. You will have excellent communication skills and strong commercial acumen preferably in the public sector. Experience in the financial management of multiple jurisdiction subsidiaries particularly with a deep knowledge of US accounting standards is essential. The role will be 2IC to the Group CFO and therefore must be capable of providing overall financial management and oversight in the running of the Company’s global business.
The position is crucial to the on-going success and growth of the business and requires a passionate individual who is keen to deliver their work at an exceptional quality standard with attention to detail. The applicant must be business hardened with a breadth of experience that underpins a strong understanding of practical management accounting requirements.

ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you need to be a strong-minded person with a solid finance background. You are a true people person, able to deal with all personality types at every level – management, colleagues, suppliers, contractors and clients alike. And you are tech-savvy, with intermediate to advanced computer skills, and able to pick up new systems with ease.
Responsibilities include:
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivables and bank reconciliations
Prepare Group and BY monthly financial reports to compliance and relevant accounting standards
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
Assist with Group annual budgeting and monthly forecasts
Support half year and annual external audits
Implement improvements to accounting procedures and financial systems
Support the Group CFO with other ad-hoc tasks
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
CPA with a degree in accounting or finance recognised by the professional accounting body
Demonstrated communication skills - both verbal and written
Demonstrated experience with financial and management accounting
Exceptional attention to detail and systems
Office management experience
High level Microsoft Office skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Experience with Odoo - desirable
Demonstrated multi-tasking and problem-solving abilities
References will be required (at least two professional referees)
