Your Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Practice Manager you will be responsible for but not limited to:

Provide courteous and efficient service to patients and visitors

Manage inquiries and complaints and ensure optimal service through effective communication

Perform general administrative tasks such as photocopying, typing, filing, and faxing and providing support to senior staff as needed

Maintain accurate patient records and manage electronic patient management systems, whilst always ensuring privacy and confidentiality of patient information

Oversee health fund claims, manage billing notices and patient billings

Ensure compliance with safety and infection control practices

Support the implementation of non-clinical service delivery programs

Your Skills and Experience

Previous experience in medical administration/reception, ideally in a busy specialist environment.

Compassionate manner and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Understanding medical terminology is advantageous.

Capability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team of Specialist doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, and support staff.

The ability to work well under pressure.

Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.

High attention to detail.

Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Demonstrated data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and speed

Relevant administrative qualifications are highly regarded.
