About the role
Mater Private Hospital Brisbane has a casual position available for experienced Senior Administration Officers to join various departments! These roles are in admissions team at Mater Private Hospital, supporting different areas such as Endoscopy, Welcome Lounge/Front Reception and Mater Private Emergency. The successful candidate needing to be available to work 24/7 roster including Public Holidays.
Salary range: $38.81 - $43.17 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and casual loading and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
This position is for a Senior Administration Officer and your role will involve but not limited to:
- Providing Exceptional Customer Service to patient and clients
- Processing patient admissions, transfers and discharges and the preparation of clinical forms
- Providing administrative support to clinical staff
- Maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality, complying with administration, and financial policy and procedures, maintaining accurate, current, and accessible files, including maintenance of records of relevant meetings and discussions
- Continually demonstrate highly developed written communication skills including ability to draft routine correspondence on behalf of the senior management
- Provide administrative assistance to other senior staff and others as requested
- Exercise judgement where necessary to solve immediate problems in situations where precedents have not been set and procedures not defined
About you
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Highly experienced in providing medical administration support
- Highly developed time management and organisational skills
- Strong computer skills including competence in using Patient Administration systems (or the ability to quickly learn new systems)
- Knowledge of Health Funds
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to organise and prioritise work effectively within a busy, fast-paced, demanding environment
