In this impactful role you will implement robust processes to support the delivery of quality attendant care and accommodation services that meet the needs of Lifetime Support Scheme (LSS) participants with serious injuries. You will focus on ensuring that person centred practice and appropriate probity measures are applied in the conduct of care and accommodation needs assessments, and the provision of these services that provide the best outcomes for LSS participants and our strategic directions.

The experience we are looking for…
To be successful in our position you will have:
Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the disability attendant care and accommodation industry and the implementation of programs to manage the effective delivery of complex services to meet participant needs.
Demonstrated experience in identifying care concerns, undertaking and coordinating reviews, managing critical risk issues and monitoring progress of outcomes.
Demonstrated knowledge of the issues related to the national disability and health sector including the provision of quality attendant care and accommodation services.
For an AHP3, a relevant degree, or equivalent qualification, which entitles registration as an allied health professional, such as physiotherapist, occupational therapist, psychologist, social worker, developmental educator, etc. You will also require full registration, if the profession is registrable, with the Allied Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Where not registerable, eligibility for full membership with the relevant allied health professional association.
For an ASO6, a relevant degree, equivalent qualification or extensive experience in the engagement and management of external service providers in the disability or serious injury sector.

The Lifetime Support Authority (LSA) delivers the Lifetime Support Scheme (LSS) which funds necessary and reasonable treatment, care and support for people who sustain serious injuries in a motor vehicle accident on South Australian roads, regardless of fault.

Position Conditions: Full-time, 12-Month Fixed-term Opportunity.
Remuneration: ASO6 ($98,478 - $104,165) or AHP3 ($104,180 - $111,746) + Superannuation
Special Conditions
Appointment will be subject to the provision of a valid Working with Children Check and a satisfactory Criminal History Check that is no more than six months old.
Some out of hours work may be required.
Travel to health and community facilities, participants' homes, intrastate and interstate may be required.
Must hold a current Australian driver's licence.

The Lifetime Support Scheme (LSS) provides care, treatment and support for people who have sustained very serious lifelong injuries as a result of a motor vehicle accident in South Australia.
We take a person-centred approach, so that participants have control to make their own choices about their care, treatment and support that best benefit them and their families.
Our team of highly skilled Service Planners and allied health professionals work closely with participants to ensure they live the best life possible.
We administer the LSS in accordance with Part 2 of the Motor Vehicle Accidents (Lifetime Support Scheme) Act 2013.
