About the role

As a Skilled Labourer / Timber Machinist at Screenwood, you will play a crucial role in the production of high-quality timber products. This full-time position is based in Kirrawee, NSW, and offers an exciting opportunity to work with a reputable and growing company in the Trades & Services industry.

What you'll be doing

Operating various woodworking machines to cut, shape, and finish timber products to precise specifications

Working closely with the factory foreman to ensure production deadlines are hit

Assisting in the assembly and finishing of timber components

Performing quality checks and making adjustments to ensure products meet required standards

Maintaining a clean and organised work environment, following all safety protocols

What we're looking for

Demonstrated experience as a skilled labourer who has had some background using and operating CNC, with a strong understanding of woodworking machinery and techniques

Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings

Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work

Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to troubleshoot issues and find efficient solutions

Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the production team

Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices

Experience in a manufacturing business or production facility

Any partial trade background or previous technical course welcomed but not necessary

Good health and ability to lift up to 20kgs
