The Opportunity

We’re working with a well-established joinery workshop based in Chipping Norton. They’ve been crafting high-quality timber windows and doors for over 20 years, using traditional methods and premium materials. As the owner steps back from hands-on work, they’re looking for an experienced Timber Machinist to join the team and take on a key role in production.

This is a long-term opportunity for someone who wants stable, ongoing work in a workshop that does things properly.

Duties of the Role

Operate and maintain traditional woodworking machinery, including:

Tenoners, spindle moulders, 5-head moulder, band saw, rough saw and hand tools

Machine a range of solid timbers including Western Red Cedar, Merbau, Tasmanian Oak, American White Oak, New Guinea Rosewood and Accoya

Prepare joinery components for both custom jobs and standard product lines

Work closely with a small team to deliver high-quality, accurate results

Maintain a safe, tidy and efficient work environment

About You

Experienced in operating traditional woodworking machines in a joinery or timber workshop

Able to read technical drawings and work independently

Reliable, practical and hands-on

Looking for stable, long-term work in a small, skilled team

Takes pride in producing precise, high-quality joinery

Work is workshop-based, with a mix of custom and standard product jobs

No showroom or client-facing responsibilities
