At Lockleys Children's Centre for Early Childhood Development and Parenting we have a proud history of providing high-quality early childhood programs to the community. We work with families to make a learning program for all children. We offer many opportunities and programs for our families to connect with our centre.

Position Overview:

We currently have multiple opportunities for Early Childhood Workers (ECW1 and ECW2) at our Children's Centre:

ECW1 - Preschool Support

ECW2 - Occasional Care Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality care to children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.

Develop and implement engaging educational activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth.

Support children's individual needs and encourage positive behaviours and interactions.

Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child feels valued.

Collaborate with other team members, families, and external professionals to develop and implement individual care plans.

Ensure the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the care environment at all times.

Key Requirements:

Must have attained or be working towards a Certificate III Early Childhood Education and Care qualification (approved qualifications published on the ACECQA website)

Qualifications in special education or other relevant qualifications, or equivalent experience in working with and teaching children

Ability to be a positive team member to assist in the implementation of education programs, facilitating learning through play and provide an inclusive and safe learning environment

Ability to demonstrate leadership and communicate and exercise initiative to work in partnership with parents and the community in the delivery of services to children

Ability to complete documentation - Learning Stories, observations, data, records for individual children.
