An award-winning international architecture practice with a strong presence across Australasia is expanding its Melbourne team. With a robust pipeline of work and a focus on design excellence, they are now seeking a Principal Architect to lead and grow their health sector portfolio. You’ll drive the front end of complex healthcare projects, shape strategic direction, and mentor a highly capable team. This is a unique opportunity to influence the trajectory of a respected global firm at a pivotal moment of local growth. If you’re a sector specialist with strong networks, design intelligence, and leadership experience—this role offers real impact and recognition.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and delivery of complex health projects from feasibility to handover

Drive business development and client engagement in the healthcare sector; where you'll be responsible for winning work in this sector

Shape and implement the firm’s strategic direction in the health sector

Collaborate with other Principals across the wider Australasian network

Mentor and guide project teams while fostering a knowledge-sharing culture

Skills & Experience

ARBV-registered Architect or equivalent

15+ years’ experience with a focus on public/private healthcare projects

Proven experience leading major hospital or health infrastructure projects

Strong design capability backed by deep sector knowledge

Skilled in client engagement, team leadership, and business development

Comprehensive understanding of relevant codes, compliance and planning policy

Revit proficiency desirable; confident presenting, communicating, and inspiring others
