We are seeking a talented Software Architect to join our client's dynamic team in Melbourne. In this role, you will be instrumental in re-engineering one of their most successful platforms, setting the technical direction to transition their on-premises solutions to the cloud. This is a unique opportunity to advance your career and utilize your software architecture skills while making a significant impact in the payments industry.

We are seeking a hands-on architect who is comfortable working at a lower level within the codebase. This individual should be capable of providing high-level recommendations for projects as needed, specifying details at the module level and engaging directly with the code when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead technical initiatives across online payment solutions, ensuring the robustness of the on-prem infrastructure and contributing to the software delivery lifecycle.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to align with architectural standards and best practices, documenting technical specifications accurately.
• Drive technical strategy decisions, influencing architecture, guardrails, and standards.
• Promote continuous improvement by leveraging both agile and traditional software methodologies.
• Engage with customers on all technical aspects of the product and service life cycle.
• Take ownership of infrastructure and software performance reporting, ensuring high service levels.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in Software Architecture within the payments industry, such as payment gateways, digital wallets, etc.
• Programming skills in SQL Server and ASP.NET.
• Solid understanding of security standards like PCI DSS,OWASP, SOC2, ISO 27001 and vulnerability management.
• Strong familiarity with Azure DevOps and deployment processes.
• Preferred experience in database design and architecture.
