Workfast is hiring an experienced Trade Assistant to join a leading company specialising in recycling solutions and chute systems.

• Location: Bankstown, NSW
• Pay Rate: $40-45 p/hr + OT and Super
• Hours: Full time hours, Monday to Friday

As a Trade Assistant you will be helping the site team with installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and mechanical components to ensure optimal performance. You’ll work within a team-oriented environment that values safety, precision, and efficiency.

What You Need:

• Previous experience as a Trade Assistant or in a similar hands-on role
• Mechanical aptitude and basic tool-handling skills
• Manual drivers license is essential
• Ability to assist with assembly, maintenance, and installations
• Willingness to work in a physically demanding role and follow instructions
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety (WHS) standards

What You Will Be Doing:

• Assisting tradespeople with mechanical assembly and installations
• Meeting at the workshop each morning and traveling to job sites
• Handling tools, materials, and equipment for maintenance and repairs
• Supporting the team with troubleshooting and basic mechanical work
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in compliance with WHS regulations
