In anticipation of civil infrastructure across Queensland, our client is seeking a Civil Supervisor with project experience on Main Roads – TMR, bulk earthworks, drainage, minor structures and land development projects.

We require a Supervisor with main roads exposure on $10M + sized projects as part of the head contracting team. You will help ensure that daily production targets are met while ensuring a safe working environment. You will have experience managing a direct and subcontract workforce with demonstrable skills in daily and weekly planning.

This role will suit an experienced Supervisor looking for a new challenge within the civil construction industry. Reporting into the Construction Manager, your duties will include:

• Planning for all resources included plant, labour, materials and subcontractors
• Site management and construction of civil works
• Program management
• Client and stakeholder dealings
• Conduct pre starts and weekly toolboxes
• Ensure that all work is in compliance with workplace health and safety
• Prepare reports and forecasts, including summary of construction progress, personnel forecasts, and expenditures forecast
• Monitor the activities to ensure compliance with specifications and schedules
  
• Maintain a high standard of safety and quality whilst still maintaining program and budget

We are ideally looking for a Supervisor who has come up through the Foreman / Supervisor ranks from: Operator, Labourer to Leading Hand. Excellent planning skills, ability to motivate crews while driving & maintaining a strong safety culture and professional with clients. Role is based depending on project - must be willing to travel FIFO / DIDO. Experience delivering small to medium TMR projects is required.
